This Is The First Time In NL History That A Father (Bob Walsh – Umpire) And Son (Colin Walsh – Player) Are Participating At The Same Canadian Fastpitch Championship In The Same Year.
The First Time In NL History That A Father (Ed Costigan – Umpire) And Son (Andre Costigan – Player) Participated At A Canadian Fastpitch Championship In The Same Year Was 1991, But It Wasn’t At The Same Canadian Fastpitch Championship. Ed Costigan Umpired At The Midget Girl’s In Mississauga, ON; While Andre Costigan Played At The Junior Men’s In St. John’s, NL As A Member Of The Lloydminster Liners, Who Captured Gold That Year. Colin Abbott Was Also A Member Of The Lloydminster Liners In 1991.
