Adopt-A-Team Program (Minor Division)

To All Minor Teams & Associations:
This year Softball Newfoundland and Labrador are excited to implement the Adopt-A-Team Program. Teams interested in participating will have to make a request in writing explaining why their team should be selected for this mentoring program.
Softball Newfoundland and Labrador will select various teams from ages 8-14; we have several Senior and Intermediate teams committed to mentoring this year. Our adult teams will come and cheer for their adopted team in a selected tournament, help with a few practices, and guide/assist coaches with proper skill training.
In return, the minor teams will have to agree to watch at least 2-4 adult games throughout the season. This will give our young girls and boys a chance to see what softball is like at the highest level in our province, and provide coaches with needed support and guidance. This will bring experiences to our minor players and coaches and allow our adult teams to give back to the game.

As Minor Director, I am very excited about this program, and I believe nothing but good things will come of this. Many thanks to our adult teams for signing on and good luck to you all in the upcoming softball season.
