Billy Windsor Inducted Into Softball Canada Hall-of-Fame
Softball Canada held their Hall-of-Fame Induction Ceremony at the Holiday Inn on Saturday, November 11th.
Two out of the three inductees were from this province.
Billy Windsor of Mount Pearl who was Inducted as an Athlete. Billy has played on the Provincial, National and International stages during his playing career.
His accomplishments included a Silver Medal at the 1984 Junior Men’s Canadian Championships (he was also named Top Batter with .600BA), a Bronze Medal at the Senior Men’s Canadian Championships in 1989 and he was named Top Batter in the ISC Qualifier in 1983 with a .600BA where he played on Team Atlantic. In 1995 he helped his team once again win a Silver Medal bringing to an end an incredible 22-year career.
