Coaching Appointments

Softball Newfoundland Labrador wishes to announce the following appointments for the 2017 Canada Summer Games.

Paul Smith, Head Coach, Ladies Division

Paul brings many years of Playing and Coaching Experience to this position. In addition to coaching teams at various Eastern Canadian and National Championships over the past number of years he was also the Head Coach of the Ladies Canada Games teams in 2009 and 2013. Paul is also responsible for the revival of the St. John’s Ladies Fast Pitch League which was re-established in 2009.

Paul King, Head Coach, Men’s Division

Paul brings many years of Playing and Coaching Experience to this position. In addition to coaching teams at various levels of play from Minor to Adult ball over the last number of years, Paul was also the Head Coach of the NL U21 Men’s teams that competed in the U21 Canadian championships in 2014 and 2015. In addition, Paul has also coached the Kelly’s Pub Junior Canadians team in the St. John’s Senior Men’s Fast Pitch League over the past two years, while at the same time coaching his Game on Gear team in the St. John’s Intermediate Men’s Fast Pitch League.
