Ivan Hapgood Inducted Into Softball Canada Hall-of-Fame
Softball Canada held their Hall-of-Fame Induction Ceremony at the Holiday Inn on Saturday, November 11th.
Two out of the three inductees were from this province.
Ivan Hapgood of Arnold’s Cove was Inducted as a Builder. Ivan’s career with softball spans over almost his entire lifetime in such roles as coach, umpire and volunteer. He served as President of his Local Softball Association for eight years, on the Provincial Board of Directors in various capacities for 23-years and on the National Level as member of Softball Canada’s Board of Directors for four years. During that time Ivan also supervised at many Canadian Championships. Last but not least he served on eight National Host Committees and on two World Championship Host Committees.
