Plan a recognition event; it can be as simple as a team dinner or social to show your coach you appreciate all they do.
Get social! Share a message on social media – don’t forget to use the campaign hashtags #ThanksCoach or #CoachesWeek. Tag teammates and friends in your message and encourage them to say #ThanksCoach as well.
Take a FREE NCCP eLearning module: During National Coaches Week, NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport, NCCP Making Head Way in Sport, NCCP Coaching Athletes with a Disability and NCCP Preparing an Emergency Action Plan are all free!
Send a #ThanksCoach Postcard: Print and send a postcard with a message of thanks to your coach.
Participate in a community event: Join the celebration in communities across Canada or organize one for your community. Find events taking place in your province or territory at coach.ca.
Say “#ThanksCoach!” in person: Take a moment to acknowledge the hard work and contributions of your coach, simply by saying “Thanks, Coach” after the practice or game. Make the moment more special with the gift of a new whistle or water bottle!
