Employment Opportunity – Technical Director (Job Description)
Position Description: Softball Newfoundland Labrador (Softball NL) is seeking the services of a Full-Time Technical Director for a 1-year term (with possibility of renewal). This position will report to the Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have a background in coaching and/or teaching/facilitation and/or playing softball and will take a lead role in the implementation of the Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) Plans from grassroots to high performance, as well as developmental and educational programs for coaches, athletes and umpires within the Province. Along with leading the High Performance program, the Technical Director will participate (in conjunction with the Softball NL Master Coach Developer and Executive Director) in the development process for coaches and course facilitators for the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). The candidate will work closely with the Executive Director, local associations and the NL Umpires Association to promote our key initiatives.
