Update #15 – ALERT LEVEL (COVID-19)

RE: Alert Level Update (COVID-19)

Softball NL Membership,
On Thursday, February 03, Public Health advised that the Province will be entering into a Modified Alert Level 3 as of 12:01am on Monday, February 07, 2022. Under Recreational Activities, Public Health have advised that “amateur sport and recreation activities are limited to team practice and training only. Competition and training with other teams is not permitted.”

Sport NL have also advised that changes have been made to Sport Guidance regarding Group Activities and the changes are as follows – “arts groups, classes and amateur sports and recreation teams can practice and train with the group or team, without the requirement to physically distance at all times. Competitions between different teams is not permitted at this time.” These changes come into effect as of 12:01am on Monday, February 07, 2022.

Softball NL is encouraged by the latest update from Public Health and Sport NL and as a result, All Softball NL Sanctioned Activities Will Resume On Monday, February 07, 2022 following the Sport Guidance noted above.

Softball NL would like to advise its Membership that the next Alert Level Update from Public Health is scheduled for Monday, February 21, 2022.

From Day 1, Softball NL have made decisions with everyone’s health and safety in mind and that will continue moving forward.

Navigating through COVID-19 and the Alert Levels hasn’t been easy and Softball NL would like to acknowledge and thank its Membership for their continued co-operation, patience, support and understanding.
