Selection Process & Eligibility

Softball Canada will be hosting 3 identification camps across the country as the next step in the selection process for the 2020 WBSC U-18 Women’s World Cup team.

The camps are open to athletes born in 2002, 2003, and 2004. Please visit www.softball.ca for additional eligibility requirements.

Following the identification camps, up to 20 athletes will be invited to participate in the Canada Cup in Surrey, BC, as the final step to this selection process. The final roster will be selected at a later date following that event.
Attendance to any ONE of the Identification Camps is strongly recommended in order to be considered.

During the camp, athletes will participate in activities that involve both softball skill work and live game play.

The 2020 WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup will be held August 21-30, 2020 in Lima, Peru.
Note: Athletes who are selected to the World Cup roster will not be available for Canadian Championship.
