Game #4: Napanee (ON2) 8 vs. Kelly’s Pub Canadians (NL) 1 (6-Innings)

The losing way continues for Kelly’s Pub Jr. Canadians at the Canadian Jr. Men’s National Fastball Championships early today with a fourth straight loss to Napanee, Ontario.

The game started out on a positive note for Kelly’s as they scored in the first on a double by Kyle Ezekiel and RBI single by Brad Ezekiel.

Ontario responded with one in the bottom of the first and scored one run in every inning until the sixth when they scored three to end the game.

Three of the Napanee’s run scored after inning leadoff walks. Clutch hitting for Kelly’s was an issue as a number of times they had a chance to get back into the game and left 10 runners on base.

Game #5: Kelly’s Pub Canadians 8 vs. SK1 4 (8 Innings)

Kelly’s Pub Jr. Canadians finally got to break through to the win column at the Canadian Jr. Men’s Fastpitch Championships in Nova Scotia with an 8 to 4 win Tuesday night over the Saskatoon Diamondbacks in 8-Innings.

The game started as most this week with the Diamondbacks scoring three in the first and the cause being a misplayed ball between the Kelly’s Pub second baseman and the right fielder which instead of getting out of the inning with only one run scored against ended up being three and Kelly’s being down 3-1 after one inning.

Kelly’s Pub scored one in the second and it stayed that way until the top of the seventh when Brad Ezekiel hit a 2R HR with two out to put Kelly’s Pub ahead 4-3.

The Diamondbacks scored one the 7th to tie the game and Kelly’s Pub scored 4 in the 8th for the win.
