Margaret Played In The St. John’s Senior Ladies Fastpitch League, Was Known For Her Sportsmanship And Ability, But More So For Her Kind & Caring Nature And Her Infectious Smile. There Is No Denying That She Was A Lifelong Softball Fan And Her Contributions To The Shea Heights Community Will Last Forever.

Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Friday, June 19th, 2020, Margaret Mary King Johnson, aged 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Gerald; sons Gerald Sr. and Paul Sr.; parents Edward and Maryjane Francis; grandsons: Cory, Tyler and Billy; brothers Edward and Patty; sisters: Patricia, Shirley and Cathy; parents-in-law George and Flossy; and brother-in-law Gordon. Leaving with fond and loving memories her husband Alvinwood; children: Diane (Leonard), Wayne (Joanne), Margie (Tony), Barbara, Doug and Dale (Gina); special grandson Shane; stepchildren Jimmy (Sharon) and Bernie (Jackie); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother Jim; brothers-in-law: Doug King, Willy and Edward; sisters-in-law: Mary Francis, Dola, Irene, Betty and Nancy; special friends: Madeline, Ruby, Mary, Joan and Vera; and a large circle of extended family and friends. Margaret was a lifelong softball fan and won an award with her friend Betty Bambrick for not missing one game. Cremation has taken place. A private funeral service will be held at Caul’s Chapel on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020, with a private burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
