1974
Placentia edged Conception Bay Central 1-0 in a record setting 19-Inning marathon in Provincial Junior Men’s Softball Championships. Frank Kelly allowed eight hits and struckout 18 in picking up the win, while losing pitcher Gary Corbett gave up six hits and struckout 22. Tom Murphy’s single in the Bottom of 19th-Inning scored Bob Pittman with the game’s only run.

1996
Ed McDonald (CBC Iron Workers) on Saturday, June 29th in a 14-6 win over Waterford Valley went 5-5 with a double, triple, home run and two singles to become the first player in the Provincial Junior Championship’s to hit for the cycle. He also scored four runs, stole a base and had two RBI.
1999
Sean Whitten (Labatt Junior Blues) on Friday, July 9th in a 5-2 win over Ferryland became the first pitcher in Provincial and Local Play to record 20 Strikeouts in a Regulation Game. He finished the game with 20K, 2BB & 3H.
