Certificate of Conduct & Vulnerable Sector Checks
Just a reminder to all Softball NL membership that a Certificate of Conduct AND Vulnerable Sector Check through either RNC or RCMP must be submitted to Softball NL a minimum of 14 days prior to any Provincial Tournaments. Both police clearances are required for all Team Staff Members (Coaches, Managers, Trainers, etc). A Volunteer will not be permitted on the field at Provincials unless Softball NL has the ORIGINAL clearance documents on file at the Provincial office.
It is the responsibility of the Associations/Coaches to complete this in a timely manner. Due to the number of Volunteers who have been “red flagged” without prior conviction we urge all Associations/Coaches to tend to this immediately to avoid possibly being prevented from taking the field this summer.
Below are the required forms to be submitted for police clearance. Softball NL may provide a letter for individual Volunteers to get their clearance for free, however Minor Associations are responsible for providing a letter verifying the individuals as Volunteers.
Remember that this is necessary for ensuring the safety of our player. Any questions please email softball@sportnl.ca.
